A cracker of a Christmas at New Hope

This festive season has been jam-packed with amazing fundraising and events in the local community and further afield. New Hope’s staff and dedicated team of volunteers have also been tremendously busy making sure that this Christmastime was one of good memories for residents and other people accessing New Hope services.

We were thrilled to receive so many amazing and thoughtful presents to give to residents and to the families we visit in temporary accommodation. Thank you so much to children from Little Green and Ascot Road schools, staff from Lundbeck, and members of Rusty Taekwondo, along with so many others including Trinity and her father who dropped off 32 bags of tasty treats to the Haven just before Christmas and Mayor Peter Taylor who joined the team in wrapping presents in Atria to raise much needed funds.

Within our services, Christmas dinners were prepared by volunteers and staff, and parties and carol concerts were held at the Sanctuary and Haven. Father Christmas visited our Croxley Green charity shop before heading out with the Tenancy Sustainment Team to a really special party for families in temporary accommodation, bringing some extra festive fun for the children while their parents collected presents to be given to their children on Christmas morning.

Christmas is a challenging time for the people who come to us and so we are incredibly grateful for the support we have received, making possible a really positive Christmas for so many people.

Thank you.
