New living room space created in our Sanctuary building

You may remember us mentioning PIE before! We talk about PIE a lot because we are passionate about PIE!

PIE = Psychologically Informed Environments and is defined as "services that are designed and delivered in a way that takes into account the emotional and psychological needs of the individuals using them and working in them." (Centre for Homelessness Impact)

We are absolutely thrilled with this new transformed room in our Sanctuary building (which houses our Outreach Plus team and our Emergency Accommodation service).

Huge thanks to B&Q for decorating the room and for changing it into a PIE space with calming colours. Thanks are also due to The John Apthorp Charity who gave us a grant for these new wonderful comfy armchairs!

"When I walked in here I immediately felt a calmness in here. It’s been done so well and it feels so much more like a living room."

"A lovely space to sit and have a real conversation."
