Christmas newsletter published
What are you dreaming of this Christmas? Maybe, after last year’s last-minute lockdown, you are looking forward to celebrating Christmas in the company of family or friends. Maybe you are dreaming of summer sun and are longing to escape the UK for a change of climate? Perhaps there’s a particular present you desire?
I was humbled when I read these wonderful words from Jack (in our latest newsletter) describing how he escaped rough sleeping and settled into his own home, with support from New Hope.
“New Hope helped me get a flat in Rickmansworth that I have been able to furnish with their help. I am now living the dream. Thank you, New Hope”.
Jack’s dream was simply his own home to live in – something we can often take for granted.
This newsletter also features a Christmas reflection from friend of New Hope, the Rev’d Ian Pankhurst, updates on hidden homelessness and street outreach, New Hope’s alternative Christmas presents, ‘Gifts of Hope’, and, of course, news of some of our fabulous fundraisers and volunteers, such as a group from BAM Construction who decorated the Haven giving it a fabulous, fresh feel.
I hope you enjoy reading it.
