Cultivating Hope
New Hope’s wellbeing and mental health service, Cultivate, has been busy with a range of activities.
Residents from our HopeHomes have gone climbing and bowling with Cultivate staff - these activities are a great way of building confidence, trying new things, and improving wellbeing.
Cultivate staff, alongside service users, have also been working on improving the pond in the garden at the Haven as well as container gardening. Over at the Sanctuary (home to our Emergency Accommodation service), residents have been putting up brightly-coloured hanging baskets and weeding the beds outside.
There’s also regular trips to Top Golf which help promote friendships and peer support as well as providing a different environment to talk.
These positive interactions promote good mental health and wellbeing - this is vital in helping people get back on their feet again and move on from homelessness to hopefulness.
