Pilot Partnership with Herts County Council
New Hope has a longstanding contract with Hertfordshire County Council to support adults experiencing homelessness. At the end of September, New Hope received a visit from Tony Kingsbury, Executive Member for Adult Care Services to deepen the council’s understanding of the complex problems facing the people who receive support from our services.
Hertfordshire County Council is one of a number of organisations working together to create a new service designed to support adults experiencing homelessness and will combine domestic abuse, mental health, and drug and alcohol workers who work together to help people with multiple issues access the support they need. Organisations working together as part of this new partnership include New Hope, One YMCA, Change Grow Live, MIND and the NHS Hertfordshire Partnership Foundation Trust along with all of Hertfordshire’s local councils.
Councillor Kingsbury said “We want people to be able to access the help they need, in a place they chose to be and at a time that is right for them but we can only do this by working closely with our partners in the District Councils and the voluntary sector.”
You can watch the video of when Councillor Kingsbury visited New Hope below:
