Closure of Watford Winter Shelter

Announcement re: Watford Winter Shelter

We have made a decision to close the Watford Winter Shelter which has been offering accommodation to people who are street homeless since 1 December.

Sunday 15th March will be the final night of this winter’s emergency accommodation.

This decision has been made in order to reduce the risk of the coronavirus being transmitted to the users of the shelter - many of whom have underlying health conditions.

We are continuing to offer comprehensive support to people who are currently rough sleeping in Watford through both the Street Outreach Service and the Rough Sleeping Prevention Service.
