Portraits of Modern Day Life

Poignant portraits of people experiencing homelessness are the focus of the latest exhibiton at the newly-opened Sinclair Gallery in Rickmansworth. Opening on 13 December and running into January, James Earley’s hyper-realistic portraits of people on the margins of society are available both to view and to buy.

Waiting for the Ginger Bread Man by James Earley

I have met some of the nicest and true people that I have ever met on the streets, people who smile and laugh when their physical and emotional pain almost forbids them. If I can raise awareness of this issue through my art then I am a truly happy man as I have achieved what I was told to do.
— James Earley

The Sinclair Gallery and James Earley have said that a percentage of any sales of James Earley’s paintings will go to the work of New Hope. We are very grateful for their support and would encourage you to visit The Sinclair Gallery on Rickmansworth High Street over the next few weeks.
