Not a wash out!
On Saturday 24th May, we held our annual May garden open day at our Community Market Garden.
It was touch and go whether it was going to be a wash out or not, but thankfully, the clouds cleared and the sun came out!
The day included everything from storytelling and craft activities, to bicycle maintenance, offered by Watford Cycle Hub. There was an opportunity for visitors to ask a panel of staff members about the charity and our plans for the future. Visitors also had the chance to pick up a variety of plants and flowers (for a small donation).
We even made it onto local radio, with our Garden Supervisor, Ian Bond speaking with Steve Allen on his Three Counties radio show.
