Cultivate

Cultivate is a trauma-informed, strength-based wellbeing and horticultural service within New Hope that operates as a floating service across and between all the New Hope services.

Mission:

Cultivate exists to help people cultivate a greater sense of wellbeing.

We support people in their recovery from substance addiction and mental health difficulties, and provide opportunities to develop meaningful life skills.

We do this through horticultural therapy, creative arts, wellbeing sessions, practical projects and pre-vocational opportunities.

Cultivate places the individual at the centre of their own goal-focused, strength-based programme and all activities are delivered through a trauma-informed lens.

I liked the time spent there at the garden, team bonding and working on my plot. I enjoyed socialising and lunches and I felt respected. It had a different, a good vibe. I am applying for an allotment where I am moving to by the sea because it is my safety net, a way of releasing stress and relaxing and taking in the environment. It has really helped me deal with my anxiety.
